October 5 Sip N Stroll in Central Park
In partnership with Tea Drunk, meet us on Sunday, October 5 for our Sip N Stroll in Central Park from 10 am to 12 pm! Celebrate the start of fall with a mindful birding experience featuring high quality loose leaf Chinese tea. We will be joined by Shunan Teng, Founder and CEO of Tea Drunk, a leader in preserving the 2,000-year tea making artisanship, and opening access in the West to the highest level of Chinese teas.
We will meet at the museum and walk into Central Park together to find a spot to learn about and drink tea while we listen for birdsong. We’ll also take a short walk in The Ramble looking out for raptors, wading birds, songbirds, waterfowl, and anyone else who is in the park.
Birding is for everyone. All are welcome on our friendly and respectful Beachy Birder Adventures!
We will meet outside on the steps of the American Museum of Natural History. Please dress for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, bring a chair or blanket, water, layers, snacks, a hat, and binoculars if you have them. We have five pairs of 8×25 birding binoculars for you to borrow as needed, and we will have a spotting scope to look through as well.
Our outings are rain or shine but in the event of extreme weather we will reschedule for a more enjoyable experience. Let’s get birdy!
