AP Sober Socials Bird Walk
Grab your favorite adventure buddy and join us for a bird walk on Sandy Hook on Saturday, February 8 from 10 am -12 pm. It’s Weird Duck Season, so we will look out for winter waterfowl, wading birds, songbirds, seals, and anyone else who is in the park.
We will meet at Gateway National Recreation Area, Sandy Hook unit in Guardian Park (with the grilling areas, covered benches and public restrooms) and then head out on the paved multi-use pathway. We will walk for about two miles. Please dress for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, bring water and binoculars if you have them. We have five pairs of 8×25 birding binoculars for you to borrow as needed. Let’s get birdy!
