Emerging conservation professionals: join me in registering for the new Master Ecologist program at Duke Farms!

The program is designed for young professionals in the conservation field, college students, and teachers. Duke Farms will become a living laboratory for those who choose to join. Through 12 monthly sessions, participants will learn about various topics from a New Jersey expert. Each session will feature an outdoor field component to help participants apply their knowledge. The course will also focus on citizen science through the iNaturalist app and monthly Bio Blitz events.

Monthly topics include:

  • Climate Science Communication
  • Tree Health
  • Amphibians and Vernal Pool Management
  • Soil Ecology
  • Migratory Birds
  • Field Botany
  • Moths as Bioindicators
  • Mycology
  • Important Pollinating Insects
  • New Jersey’s Bats
  • Invasive Flora and Fauna Management
  • Winter Field Ecology
